Vergnaud

Vergnaud was my school mate during my three years in primary school : school years 1948—1949, 1949—1950 and 1950—1951. His name is the last one in the class subsection call list that was daily recited by master during my first year at primary school --- a list that is printed indelibly in my memory.

I don't own presently a class photo for my first year in primary schook. Below are photos for my second and third years. I am the boy in the colorized rectangle, Vergnaud is the boy in the colorized oval.

Added on Jan. 3rd 2015. Looking at the second photo, I have doubts about the date. It seems that boys are younger - rather than older - by one year, relatively to the other photo. A specialist is probably able to have a sure conclusion about it. In fact, it is not impossible that the photo had been taken during school-year 48-49 and that the director of the school, M. Tourré, who was my master during  50-51, appeared, for some reason, in the photo instead of my master of 1st year.

Added on Feb 4th 2015. Looking closely again to the second photo, I become almost sure that the photo was taken during 48-49. I draw the conclusion from the absence in the 1st photo of boys who are present on the 2nd one.
