Doctor Angelicus 06
The scheme below represents the repatition of sizes in the Thomas' Opera Omnia. Each cross represents an ascii text of about 200 to 300 K bytes:
SCRIPTUM SUPER SENTENTIIS 47 xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxx...
Summa contra Gentiles 10 xxxxxxxxxx .......... .......... .......... ..........
SUMMA THEOLOGIAE 43 xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxx xxx.......
various "De XXX..." 25 xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxx xxx....... .......... ..........
Quodlibet + Opuscula 15 xxxxxxxxxx xxxxx..... .......... .......... ..........
COMMENTARIA 38 xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx.. ..........
COMMENTARIA BIBLICA 49 xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxx.
Sermones 2 xx........ .......... .......... .......... ..........

The first conclusion that appears is the fact that the Summa Theologiae, known by people to be the main work of Thomas, is only one fifth of his total writings. Having seen that, It appears that one can divide the Thomas' writings into 5 clusters of somewhat equivalent importance (at least in size) :
- Scriptum super Sententiis (47 units)
- Summa Theologiae (43 units)
- Commentaria (38 units)
- Commentaria Biblica (49 units)
- Miscellanea : Contra Gentiles, "De XXX...", Quodlibet, Opuscula, Sermones (52 units)
